Welcome Message from the President

Welcome to the Twin Cities Swiss American Association (TCSAA) web portal! Thank you for your interest in our vibrant Swiss-American community.

A Thriving Community

With great pleasure, I share the exciting news that our association is thriving—five decades after its founding! Today, our membership consists of over 160 households, marking an all-time high! In the past year alone, we’ve welcomed 10 new families into our community.

Over the years, many individuals and families have not only joined our community but have actively contributed to its growth and strength. Four decades ago, a group of visionaries laid the foundation for what has become a strong, enduring community dedicated to:

  • Providing a space for Swiss and friends of Switzerland to connect in the Twin Cities area
  • Preserving and celebrating Swiss and Old World traditions, culture, and sociability
  • Fostering Swiss-American friendship, cultural exchange, and international goodwill

I am proud to say that we have stayed true to this mission and are committed to continuing it for many years.

Our Activities and Involvement

In addition to hosting five social events annually and maintaining our website, TCSAA offers a variety of ways to engage with our community:

  • A newsletter published several times a year
  • A partnership with the Germanic American Institute
  • An annual cheese event in late November featuring a selection of delectable Swiss cheeses
  • Active participation in the Council of the Swiss Abroad

Your Involvement

Building a strong community depends on the participation of all its members. To borrow a phrase from Abraham Lincoln, the TCSAA is “of the people, by the people, for the people.” Our organization thrives because of the involvement of individuals like you, whether you are a current member, a former member, or simply interested in our activities.

I warmly invite you to attend one of our signature events and contribute to our continued success.

Thank you again for your interest in the Twin Cities Swiss American Association. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our next event!

In your service,

David Mörker
President TCSAA
